IBM Websphere Commerce Server

June 2012, i move to a new company. still a software house and work as a Java Developer. in this new company, my first project is to custom an IBM e-Commerce product, name Websphere Commerce Server. although my company is focusing on Rational Product, we also involved in this Websphere product. so the story is like this : a Singapore based company win a WCS project in Indonesia, and they looking local partner that capable to join their development team. so they chose us. this project is already start from end of 2011. so i join in the middle development phase.

our client is a new e-Commerce company that owned by one of the biggest Cigarette company in Indonesia. in this project i met a lot of great and talented people at their field. i worked with native developer, from Thailand, China, Philippine and Singapore.

WCS consist of a few component, e.g Management Centre, Admin Console, etc. a few useful built-in feature is social commerce, remote widget, gift list, wish list, co-shopping, social bridging.

as per this article published, the WCS is have the latest version at 7.0 FP 5. and the one that i develop is 7.0 FP 2.

from my experience, my comment for this e-Commerce is very powerful, complex, and need a experience developer to custom it.
